Miami radio station hosting LeBron James event called LeBron-A-Thon

LeBron James

With the possibility that Miami Heat star LeBron James could leave for another team, one Miami radio station has decided to ask viewers to help keep LeBron in South Beach.

WQAM-AM in Miami (as part of the Kup and Crowder Show) will start host a fundraising event called the “LeBron-A-Thon” which will raise money for charity along with help providing good will to keep LeBron in Miami.

Below is a portion of the press release given to the Miami Herald by WQAM:

Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM will celebrate “LEBRON-A-THON” all day, tomorrow July 1st, 2014. South Florida has enjoyed championship basketball the last four years, and we want more. We all want LeBron James to stay in Miami and WQAM is encouraging listeners put their money where their mouth is, by supporting a great cause. Listeners are being encouraged to visit WQAM.com where they can click on the “LEBRON-A-THON” banner to make a donation. 100% of the proceeds will benefit The Boys and Girls Club of Broward County.

Sounds like a great cause and hopefully, they raise plenty of cash for The Boys and Girls Club!
